Leader in the martial art equipment industry in Japan, KuSakura can take pride to have developed a comprehensive high-end Kendo/Kenjutsu line during its century-long history.

The Shinai is the traditional weapon used in Kenjutsu and Kendo. Two main types of Shinai, different in their conception and the sensation they provide during practice are available on KuSakuraShop. First, traditional Shinai are sold through 7 models, each made of 4 bamboo slats maintained together with 2 pieces of leather bound with a cord called the "Tsuru" on both extremities. Then, KuSakura's carbon fiber Shinai involves 2 high-end models, meant to be significantly more resilient and easier to maintain than their traditional bamboo-made counterparts.

KuSakura's Shinai are all either SG (Safety Goods) standards certified or SSP (Shinai Safety Promotion) certified. The latest was implemented by the Consumers Unions of Japan, guarantee the security of the practitioners during the use of the weapon but does not guarantee any official recognition of the equipment during competition in Japan. It can, however, be used in all national competitions in Europe. To be eligible to compete in Japan, a Shinai need to be SSP (Shinai Safety Promotion) certified. This label indicates that the weapon thoroughly follows all the requirements set by the Japanese Kendo Federation.
