Buki - Bokken, Jo, Tanto & Wooden Pistol
Although wooden weapons are not ubiquitous in Judo, they remain essential for the practice of Kata. The Judoka "weapon set" consists of a wooden sword called Bokken, a wooden stick called Jo (but shorter than the Jo used in Aikido or Jodo), a wooden knife called Tanto and a wooden pistol called Kenju. Only weapons used in Judo are proposed by KuSakura at the moment.
All our weapons are manufactured in the region of Miyakonojo (Kyushu, southern Japan) and are designed for the practice of Kata, but most of the models are also resilient to shocks (contact practice). All weapons can be engraved (with a maximum of 3 engravings per weapon). The module for engravings is provided directly on each product page.
Finally, to each weapon a lightweight carry bag for further protection can be added. You will find the whole weapon bag catalog (with further models for the transportation of weapon sets) in the weapon accessory section.
