Tanto Shinai - KuSakura

The shinai tanto presents the same advantages during training as a Fukuroshinai, i.e. bamboo slats are loosely tied and covered with canvas allowing for more shock absorption. The bamboo slats are then covered with a high-end leather reinforcement on the Kissaki (the tip), allowing for more intense training sessions than with a wooden Tanto. Its weight is slightly higher than a classic Tanto. It harbors a stripe of synthetic leather to symbolize the knife blade.

This model has to be held on the opposite side of the synthetic leather reinforcement. Entirely made in Japan from high-end bamboo slats and fabric.
